HTTP is HIMTI Togetherness and Top Performances, is what HIMTI (Binus’ Computer Sciences College Student Group) Project for every new college students who are under the faculty of computer science. This includes Computer Science, Cyber Security, Mobile Application  and Tech, Game application and Tech., Computer Science and Math, and also Computer Science and Statistics.

It was a grand ceremony to welcome NEW Computer Science students. There was concert and talkshow, basically a party, we can registered through HIMTI’s member. All in all, people said that it was fun.

Binus University has its own unique way in an organizational skill. It really pushes us to make ourselves active in organization, or even in events, in a good way of course. Binus has many clubs, with their own organization who will control it on their own. As Binus’ college student, we learn about this skills since the Freshmen Enrichment Program.

Organizational skill is one of Binus’ program to develop our soft skills.

it was another somewhat long-lasted holiday until the next orientation.

Academic Orientation is another Binus’ orientation program. This time it was already into the lecture, introducing what subjects or curriculum that we will take for the next few years (in my case, I got 5 years). We started using the same schedule time as in the real lecture, start studying and things.

I got computer science and mathematics, and the C language was kind of mind-blown in some times. We got tests too in the end of this so it was quite nervous. Mathematics, on the other side, only had 2 lectures and not learn much but the introduction and flashback on the high school stuff.

AO lasted for 2 weeks and after this we started the real college

Suddenly Binus’ General Orientation began.

July 27th, 2015

I got into ABN15 class. It was a class which consist all double-programs students and a bit of Computer Science students. We met with our BCs (Buddy Coordinators) and start with the searching for Leader and Vice-leader of Class (something like that, idk). We got Binusian 2019 cheers to memorize and planned to make another cheers on the other day.

All worked together for the cheers and we succesfully memorized both Bina Nusantara Anthem and Binusian Anthem quickly. Having to go late to practice the cheers. But we all worked hard to make our ABN15 better than others and I had fun with all of them.

On General Orientation, Binus offered us many new information about Binus itself. We don’t get absurd requests like most of college’s orientations. We learnt about our college, how to use its facilities, the clubs, and things that will most likely be important for us. This orientation was useful, not just for fun but its information, and things offered here was all important.
